Friday Night Lights was one of those once-in-a-generation shows. It united those viewers who loved teen dramas, sports stories, and primetime soaps into one cohesive group of television fans. The series might follow a high school football team through the trials of the season, but the entire show wasn’t about what went on on the football field. The family drama had its fair share of romantic relationships. Over the course of the show, high school kids hooked up and broke up almost as often as Julie Taylor shed her tears....

The “Mother Hen” of the group, Monica Geller is best known for her cleanliness, orderliness, competitiveness, and bossiness. Consequently, Monica’s most memorable moments originate from her obsessing over the state of her apartment, turning virtually anything into a competition, and doing her best to control absolutely everything and everyone. Whether it’s cleaning other people’s dirty cars, playing a “friendly” game of football, or barking orders military style, Monica’s antics never fail to make us laugh....

Monica’s relationship with her parents was often a contentious one on Friends, but the reason might be because she’s the love child of Judy and another man. Friends made its debut on NBC in 1994 and came to an end in 2004 after 10 seasons and a lot of ups and downs in the lives of Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Chandler, Joey, and Ross. All six friends came from different backgrounds and represented different types of families – Phoebe was adopted and later became an orphan, both Chandler and Rachel’s parents were divorced (under very different circumstances), and Ross and Monica’s parents were still together, but they didn’t treat their children equally....

Queen Elsa really has “let it go,” and is now actually pretty sick of the song that defined her for so long. Frozen 2 is already a box office success, earning a cool $127 million at the domestic box office during its opening weekend and scoring the highest ever opening for a Disney animation movie. This accolade is hardly surprising; while the reviews for Frozen 2 aren’t as glowing as the first movie’s, the box office success has come about simply because audiences still have overwhelming affection for Frozen and its central characters - Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven - 6 years after its release....

To pick just one best character in HBO’s epic fantasy show Game of Thrones is an impossible task. Throughout eight series the fans have grown to know and love many heroes, from the truly heroic ones to the villains. One of the characters who started out unnoticed by many people and eventually gained a large fanbase is Brienne of Tarth, one of the most honorable characters in the whole of Westeros....

The end of Game of Thrones was understandably divisive. The U.K.’s GCHQ issues an official response to the Dalek attack in yesterday’s Doctor Who New Year’s Special, reassuring the country that it’s up and running again. The special episode, “Resolution,” saw Earth threatened by a rejuvenated Dalek that had been lying dormant since the 9th Century - and it launched a devastating attack on GCHQ as part of the plot. Established after the First World War, GCHQ - the Government Communications Headquarters - is based in the suburbs of Cheltenham....
