Game of Thrones fans have something new to look forward to, as it looks like a second prequel series is about to get the green light from HBO - this one based on the story of the Targaryens that was laid out in George R.R. Martin’s book Fire and Blood. Of the multiple prequel series that were in development by the time that Game of Thrones came to a (disappointing) close, one is already filming (working title: Blood Moon), and a second is now said to be about to get a pilot order from the network....

Gatorade is releasing its first-ever augmented reality Snapchat lens today with inspiration from soccer legends Mia Hamm and Mallory Pugh and a special tie-in from Oh, the Places You’ll Go! by Dr. Seuss. Damon Lindelof shares his idea for Michael Keaton returning as Batman in a new movie adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns comic by Frank Miller. Lindelof is the producer and writer of HBO’s superhero drama Watchmen. Though there was a Watchmen movie adaptation from director Zack Snyder, Lindelof’s series is a sequel of the original comic books, setting the story over 30 years after the events of the comic series. This highlights Lindelof’s preference for innovation as opposed to recreating the comic as Snyder did in 2009....

South Korea’s second Apple Store is now open, and customers from Seoul lined up Friday morning to be among the first inside. Apple Yeouido is located in IFC Mall Seoul, and is one of the first stores visitors see after descending the escalator to L1 of the underground mall. In tandem with Apple Garosugil, which opened in 2018, the new store will provide first-party sales and support in Seoul’s finance district....

Actress Emilia Clarke recently revealed that she suffered from two life-threatening brain aneurysms, with the first happening after filming HBO’s Game of Thrones season 1, in which she stars as Daenerys Targaryen. Clarke came to fame in the role and wowed TV viewers with her performance as the daughter of a deposed king, as well as the “mother of dragons.” Throughout the series, Daenerys begins gathering support and armies to take back the Iron Throne, something she feels is rightfully hers....

Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford is involved in a seriously messy lawsuit filed by a former Gearbox employee. Gearbox’s former general counsel, Wade Callender, alleges that Pitchford took a secret $12 million bonus in 2016, among other more severe claims. Gearbox is the studio that brought the gaming world the Borderlands series and the failed Battleborn, and if the developer wasn’t down on its luck enough already, this latest legal trouble involving CEO Randy Pitchford will likely be doing it no favors....

As HomeKit continues to expand in popularity, a pair of new smart locks have been introduced that both embrace the platform. Friday Labs has introduced the new Friday Lock, while Danalock has unveiled a new V3 smart lock. Future Man was something of a surprise for Hulu, as its puerile sense of humor is distinctly different from other original offerings from the streaming service, like, say, Castle Rock, Runaways, or The First.
