Despite there being very few still in existence today, another Apple-1 computer is set to hit the auction block soon. As noted by The Telegraph, German auctioneer Team Breker will soon make a functioning Apple-1 available, estimating the machine will go for around $320,000. Team Breker calls this Apple-1 the “best-preserved example of an Apple-1 computer to appear on the market.” The auction includes the Apple-1 itself, original operation documents, circuit diagrams, and purported notes of telephone calls between Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak in 1977....

FX continues to push for its place as the most interesting network on television with a first look trailer at Fosse/Verdon limited series starring Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams. The series was announced in the summer of 2018, and promised a compelling look into the life and love of acclaimed filmmaker and choreographer Bob Fosse, as well the relationship he shared with Broadway great Gwen Verdon. It’s an ambitious project that seems right up both Rockwell and Williams’ alleys, as it affords the Academy Award winners a chance to star in what will likely be labeled a prestige TV drama, albeit one that will likely appeal to a wide audience, as it counts Lin-Manuel Miranda and The Americans’ Joel Fields among its producers, and “also stars Norbert Leo Butz as Paddy Chayefsky and Margaret Qualley as Ann Reinking....

Briefly touched upon in the Game of Thrones series and described further in George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series, Valyria has both a rich and tragic history. The Valyrian Peninsula, the southern coast of central Essos, was the heartland of the now extinct Valyrian Freehold. Mostly destroyed by “The Doom of Valyria,” what was once a booming empire is now a wasteland, with the largest surviving fragment, Valyria, left partially intact - ironically preserved by the very ash that destroyed it....

Apple has been busily teasing its upcoming Carpool Karaoke series, the Late Late Show spinoff it bought last year. The segment will stream 16 weekly episodes exclusively to Apple Music subscribers, starting next month. Apple has been very generous with its free promotional offers for Apple TV+ with year-free trials alongside the purchase of new hardware extended through the pandemic period. Marvel fans are in for a very exciting 2017, with (for the first time) three films coming from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the same year - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok - although the film all eyes are really on is 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, the epic conclusion of the Infinity Stone plot that’s been threaded through the MCU films since 2011’s Thor. Little is known about what directors Anthony and Joe Russo actually have in store - not even which bits of the various Infinity comic book stories they will borrow from - but with the promise of Josh Brolin’s Thanos finally getting to show off his villainy, it’s hard to not get excited....
