The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced the full list of 2019 Oscar nominations. The ongoing awards season has certainly taken some unexpected twists and turns on its way to this year’s Academy Awards. Most recently, the Peter Farrelly-directed historical dramedy Green Book took home surprising wins at both the 2019 Golden Globes and Producers Guild Awards. Meanwhile, the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody has also emerged as an unanticipated Best Picture contender, thanks to its own Golden Globes wins for Best Picture - Drama and Best Actor for Rami Malek’s performance as Freddie Mercury....

Lori Loughlin may serve jail time over her involvement in the massive college admissions bribery case that broke last month. The former Fuller House star and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli reportedly paid half a million dollars to get their two kids into USC either by faking athletic records or cheating their SAT scores. Desperate Housewives actress Felicity Huffman is also embroiled in the cast with William H. Macy’s wife supposedly doling out $250,000 to get in on the same scheme....

Earlier this year, we told you about a functioning Apple-1 computer that would go up for auction in Germany on May 20th. As planned, the auction took place yesterday and brought in $130,000, far less than initial expectations… At the time of the auction announcement, experts were anticipating the Apple-1 to go for around $320,000, meaning there was a big gap between expectations and what ended up being the case. The auction was won by a German engineer who collects old computers....

Thanks to some strong work by Smith and its better set pieces, Gemini Man partly succeeds at overcoming its bland plot and occasionally iffy visuals. Out of all the previous entries in Ang Lee’s eclectic filmography, his newest movie, Gemini Man, hews the closest to his 2003 comic book adaptation Hulk. Both are based on inherently goofy sci-fi premises, feature gifted protagonists with daddy issues, and are hit-and-miss when it comes to their cutting-edge technical elements....

Ms. Chanandler Bong, played by Matthew Perry, is the sarcastic awkward comedian of the Friends crew who always knows when to crack a joke to cut through the tension. Fans fell in love with Chandler’s relatable insecurities and insane fear of commitment. They laughed along with his cringe-worthy struggles and grinned from ear to ear when Chandler and Monica finally said “I do.” And while most fans feel they know everything there is to know about Chandler, except what his job is, the Chan-Chan man does have a few secrets....

Friends was a cultural icon and remains so to this day. During its impressive 10 year run, the show amassed a huge number of fans who loved to follow the adventures of Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Chandler, Joey and of course, Ross. Unlike many sitcoms, Friends somehow managed to never lose what made it so unique.
