The latest episode of Game of Thrones received criticism for being too dark, but the people involved with the production of the show have responded with a defense for the darkness that permeated the Battle of Winterfell. “The Long Night” was the episode of Game of Thrones that featured the long-awaited battle between the White Walker army and the forces of the living. The Battle of Winterfell took place over the course of a single night, which gave the armies of the dead an advantage, as they don’t need the light to be able to see....

Disney’s Frozen 2 has gotten its official Honest Trailer. The sequel to the studio’s smash-hit animated musical opened last fall, exactly six years after the original Frozen took the world by storm. Directed by returning co-helmers Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, Frozen 2 follows Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven on a brand-new adventure that takes them from Arendelle to the mysterious enchanted forest in the north, where they uncover secrets about the past (like what really happened to Anna and Elsa’s parents)....

Disney’s Frozen 2 includes numerous clever jokes and Frozen callbacks, but some viewers may have missed the best comedic moment, which comes during its post-credits sequence. In Frozen 2, sisters Anna (Kristen Bell) and Queen Elsa (Idina Menzel) have grown up and put aside the bickering that dominated Frozen’s storyline. Now, there’s a sense of peace and understanding, with the Arendelle sisters fondly recalling their late parents and stories about a northern tribe known as the Northuldra, who live in the Enchanted Forest....

Jorah Mormont, former Lord of Bear Island, son of the North of Westeros, fallen knight, and the Internet’s “Sir Friendzone” was known as many things throughout the eight seasons he (surprisingly) survived on Game of Thrones until the final season. Paramount recruits a writer for a solo Snake Eyes movie, the first G.I. Joe spinoff. In the wake of Avengers: Infinity War’s record setting success, the hunger from rival studios to build cinematic universes of their own isn’t going to die down. While Warner Bros. keeps working on their DC universe, Paramount is plotting a connected movie universe based on Hasbro toys. Coming out of their AllSpark Pictures banner, the studio hopes to bring Transfomers, Micronauts, possibly a new Power Rangers, and more together....

The G.I. Joe Snake Eyes spinoff movie in the works from Paramount, Hasbro and AllSpark will not star previous Snake Eyes actor Ray Park. Originally announced back in May, the spinoff recently named Robert Schwentke as director, after previously hiring Evan Spiliotopoulos (Beauty and the Beast) to write a draft of the script. The announcements come as Paramount and Hasbro team up to launch a series of movies based on classic toy lines....
