Fear not sequel fatigue, Frozen 2 has just become the highest grossing animated movie of all time. Frozen 2 released back in late November 2019 to mostly positive reviews, and has since skyrocketed to the highest echelon of the box office. It seems Disney played their cards right with the release of Frozen 2 by having the film launch worldwide the weekend before Thanksgiving, essentially ensuring the sequel wouldn’t face the same “challenges” its predecessor did....

Frozen is rightly remembered now as one of the biggest Disney hits of all time and perhaps the most well-received of the studio’s non-Pixar releases since its 1980s renaissance - but at one point it was a troubled production, where its original storyline was going through drastic revisions en route to the screen; with some early versions even supposedly positioning Queen Elsa as the villain of the piece - which would have been a far cry from a choice that instead went down as one of the biggest twist-endings in the studio’s long history....

The Nuttery Entertainment is developing classic video game Galaga into an animated series. Video game adaptations, for better or worse, don’t appear to be losing any momentum. Despite the lackluster critical response blockbuster films have received, creators and developers still believe there is a market for this genre. There’s an Uncharted film in development limbo, a Tomb Raider reboot with Alicia Vikander as the new face of the franchise in on the way, and neither of the relative bombs that were Assassin’s Creed and Warcraft seem to be deterrents....

Update: One reviewer has suggested that the units were supplied on 10-day loan, with the expectation they would then be swapped for a US-specific model. It’s unclear whether Samsung is recalling the review units early, but at this point they are not being replaced with a US model. Director David Nutter has come to the defense of the latest episode of Game of Thrones, and the way in which Jon Snow bid a final farewell to his loyal direwolf Ghost. Episode four of Game of Thrones’ eighth season, titled “The Last of the Starks”, saw Jon departing his home of Winterfell and sending Ghost off to the true north. Some were unsatisfied with the way the scene played out, as it seemed Ghost was once again being pushed out of focus....

Texas-based game retailer GameStop has taken a hit over the past year as users move game downloads to mobile devices and online platforms. While the company still maintains a two-thirds share of the retail market, its stock has taken a sharp 26 percent dive, leaving the company in need of a serious turn-around. We first reported last September that GameStop had begun taking in trade-ins of Apple’s devices, and we now have learned that was a part of the company’s master plan to bounce back....

British actor Roy Dotrice, who has well over 100 film and television credits to his name, died at the age of 94. His most recent role was on two episodes of Game of Thrones back in season 2 - as Hallyne the Pyromancer. He was born on the island of Guernsey on May 26, 1923. He became a solider with the Royal Air Force during World War II, despite being only 16-years-old....

HBO releases the Game of Thrones season 8 trailer, previewing the final season of the network’s wildly popular high fantasy drama. Game of Thrones kicked off in 2011, adapting George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire book series into the cinematic television series that has since captured fans around the globe. Over the course of seven seasons, fans have followed the lives, adventures and tragedies of a whole host of characters from Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and Arya Stark to Tyrion Lannister and Brienne of Tarth....

Game of Thrones knows their audience, and their audience likes nudity, violence… and alcohol. The series is full of heavy drinking, especially when it comes to fan favorite Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), who is famous for his ability to knock a few (dozen) back and still survive longer than most of the other characters. HBO plays into this, regularly releasing official beer and wine options for the show, including ‘Take The Black Stout’, ‘The Three Eyed Raven’, ‘Valar Morghulis’ ‘Iron Throne’ and three wines to be released this spring....
