Apple today has updated GarageBand for Mac and iOS to “celebrate the rich history of Chinese music.” The update for both platforms includes a variety of new sounds and instruments that cater towards the Chinese music industry. The update brings GarageBand for iOS to version 2.1.1 and GarageBand for OS X to version 10.1.2. Across both platforms toady’s update adds 300 new Apple-created Chinese musical loops, which Apple says allow for users to “tap into their creativity and make beautiful Chinese-inspired music....

Ahead of the company’s plans to roll out LTE service and a new iPad clip through Sprint’s network later this year, wireless provider FreedomPop announced today a new rollover data feature that allows users to keep their unused data from one month to the next. As to be expected from FreedomPop, the service will also let users share data with friends as part of its social broadband feature that it enhanced last month....

Joey Tribbiani’s agent Estelle Leonard helped with the birth of Ross Geller’s first child on Friends. The interesting tidbit was one of the most amusing trivia facts that came out of Friends season 1. Estelle was notably played by actress June Gable during the NBC sitcom’s decade-long run. Estelle was the head of The Estelle Leonard Talent Agency, which helped Joey obtain most of his acting gigs. The character was a chain-smoking weathered woman thought to be in her 70s, but she got along with Joey most of the time....

In all honesty, it often feels like Futurama was canceled way before its time. Very few animated shows on television were quite as witty and funny as Matt Groening’s creation. Even The Simpsons, with its refined humor and clever references, seemed to lack many of the things that Futurama brought to the table. Particularly the freedom to go above and beyond with science-fiction jokes, in a format that had never been truly explored up until the show premiered....

The final season of Game Of Thrones might have been controversial with fans, but HBO is looking to soothe the situation with the announcement of a second prequel series to the popular A Song Of Ice And Fire adaptation. The prequel is set to star House Targaryen, focusing on Daenerys’ ancestors’ fiery rule over the Seven Kingdoms. The series, which will be based on author George RR Martin’s Targaryen history book Fire And Blood, already has a plethora of source material for the small screen....
