This Friday they will be sitting down with accomplished artist and the head of The Crucible’s ceramics department, Rosa Dorantes, as part of a series of virtual artist talks. Born and raised in Oakland, Rosa’s artwork focuses on womanhood and the family, reflecting on personal experience. 411: Burning Man may be canceled this year – but that won’t stop the queer burners from keeping the party alive. The team at the SF Queer Nighlife Fund is collaborating with LGBTQ+ playa groups for their fifth installment of their reoccurring Sunday virtual party, Quaran-Tea Dance. Hosts, DJ’s and performers will be broadcasting live from their homes over Twitch, but will also have a Zoom room going for people looking for a more interactive experience. Funds raised during the event support providing financial relief to our local nightlife industry. // Free to attend, donations appreciated.
