The footage shows the player character exploring the world, going to the Hudie Net Cafe (which acts as the player’s base), interacting with other characters, checking the PC BBS for mission requests, exploring a dungeon, battling various Digimon, and engaging other characters in the new domination battle system. 2017 marks the 20th anniversary of the Digimon franchise. In addition to Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker’s Memory, Bandai Namco also plans to re-release the original digital pet devices with brand new Digimon.
Cyber Sleuth: Hacker’s Memory is the sequel to Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth, which released in Western territories for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in February 2016, a year after its March 2015 release in Japan. Hacker’s Memory will release for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan in late 2017 and in Western territories sometime during 2018.
