With less than a month to go until the season 6 premiere of Game of Thrones, HBO has been preparing fans for new episodes with plenty of enticing bits and pieces, like an amazing new trailer set to a mournful cover of Chris Isaak’s ‘Wicked Game,‘plenty of behind-the-scenes featurettes, and a slew of female-focused magazine covers. Now, a collection of new photos that are a mix of on-set and in-episode images reveal more about where various characters are in this season and more importantly, with whom are they spending their time – what little of it some of them may have left, anyway.

Game of Thrones season 6 will be new territory for many fans of A Song of Ice and Fire book series as the show has now, for the most part, caught up with the major storylines from the book. While the showrunners of the series have said the new season will not spoil events in the upcoming ASOFAI book, Winds of Winter, the recording breaking trailer for season 6 has already begun to clue viewers in on what to expect for the upcoming season.

And now, EW has released 6 new photos from the set of Game of Thrones that will accompany the magazine’s aforementioned Game of Thrones covers featuring the main female characters of the show. Many will recognize familiar faces from previous seasons, included a blinded Arya and bound Daenerys.

One notable new face in these exclusive photos is the Three-Eyed Raven (Max von Sydow), who has been teaching Bran Stark to better control his warging powers. Returning from his absence in season 5, the new season will see Bran Stark and how he “will take viewers into iconic moments from the past, present and future of Westeros,” leaving many to wonder what events GoT will explore in this new season.

Now that the show has deviated from the books greatly with the changing of Sansa Stark’s plot line and others, it becomes hard to determine where GoT will be going for the next season. However, with Bran’s powers, it does confirm that viewers will be catching some flashbacks of our favorite (possible deceased) characters. Could these flashbacks help confirm popular fan theories? It’s entirely possible at this point, where it seems like anything could happen. As fans of Game of Thrones enter into the abyss of new storylines and potential book spoilers, take comfort in knowing that the new GoT has already been called the best one yet.

Game of Thrones season 6 will premiere on HBO on April 24, 2016.
