A new video has released exploring Wonder Woman’s role in Zack Snyder’s Justice League movie. Warner Bros. officially launched their DC cinematic universe (unofficially known as the DCEU) last year with Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice - a follow-up to the filmmaker’s 2013 film, Man of Steel - and they will be continuing the story left off from that movie with Justice League next month.

The blockbuster film marks the first time that the world’s finest heroes - consisting of Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) - will unite together in live-action on the big screen. Although many people are familiar with the core characters, there may be uncertainty amongst general audiences about what those characters’ roles are in the movies. Warner Bros. has been attempting to alleviate those suspicions by highlighting one or two characters per week, diving deep into their respective roles in the story. And this week happens to be centered around both Cyborg and Wonder Woman.

Anticipation is running high for the upcoming fifth installment of Warner Bros.’ DC film universe. It’s no secret that the Justice League film has endured its share of negative press and overall criticism ahead of its actual theatrical release, mostly directed at this past summer’s reshoots and pick-up shoots helmed by former Avengers director Joss Whedon. The filmmaker boarded the project upon Snyder’s exit earlier this year, who respectfully opted to be with his family after suffering from a personal tragedy, but that doesn’t mean Whedon’s vision has overtaken Snyder’s. In fact, Snyder remains the only credited director of the film, with Whedon being given co-writing credit for his work on the movie’s dialogue.

Justice League doesn’t release for another few weeks, but the movie’s presale tickets have already gone on sale, and early tracking predicts that the film will outgross Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman during its opening weekend. However, fans and casual moviegoers alike may be waiting to see how Justice League performs with critics, considering how divisive Snyder’s previous comic book movies have been.
