Our favorite sitcom is definitely still Friends, and we all have our favorite characters. Of course, as we watch the lives of these six friends over 10 seasons, they meet a lot of people along the way. Every character has had their fair share of dates and relationships, and we loved to watch their romance bloom or blow up in a horrific and hilarious way.

We know you have your opinions on the best relationships of the series, so we’re here to settle it once and for all. Here are 5 couples that are absolutely perfect for each other, and 5 that had us yelling at our screens.

No Sense: Chandler & Janice

Let’s be honest - we love to hate this couple. Some of us probably shiver whenever we hear Janice’s laugh, and others probably worship the ground she walks on. Regardless if you’re pro this colorful gal or not, we’re pretty sure we can all admit that this was one of the worst partnerships on the show. When Chandler went back to Janice, we were probably all groaning in annoyance. Also, he literally flew to Yemen to get away from her, so we think it’s safe to say Chandler would agree with this decision.

Perfect: Chandler & Monica

While Chandler had his fair share of relationships, and we actually really liked lots of Monica’s boyfriends, we are more than confident in saying this is one of our favorite relationships on the series. Their love is so wholesome, and we know every single one of you was bawling your eyes out during their proposal and their wedding.

Seriously, these two are adorable, and they prove that you don’t have to have all of the same interests as your partner. Plus, these two are the best of friends, and we love their hilarious, casual, and unrelenting support for each other. We love these two so much.

No Sense: Rachel & Joey

We know that some people ship this couple, but we’re here to shut down the shipping. In fact, if you don’t believe us, the cast themselves have openly shunned this relationship and described it as totally uncomfortable. That’s exactly how we felt, and honestly we couldn’t wait for the nightmare to end. From the awkward trip to Barbados to the horrifying hospital proposal, this entire thing had us cringing from start to finish. Plus, poor Ross, right? Not cool, not cool at all.

Perfect: Phoebe & Mike

Honestly, we kind of loved David, but we have absolutely no anger towards that at all because we love Mike even more. These two are absolute goals, and they bring out the best in each other to a whole new level. These two are quirky, hilarious, and bursting with love. Their wedding was everything we could ever want in our wildest dreams, and we wish we had a relationship as wholesome as these two. It’s fun and spontaneous, and they’re absolutely perfect for each other.

No Sense: Joey & Charlie

We like that Joey was trying to expand his horizons, but this relationship made no sense. Joey tried his best, but he was totally not being himself the entire time they were dating. This is true for Charlie, too, and we’re not sure that’s healthy.

Honestly, Ross and Charlie made a lot of sense, but at the end of day, we don’t think we’re really Charlie fans at all. Regardless, we’re definitely not on board with the weird combination of Charlie and Joey. Next, please.

Perfect: Jack & Judy

You might not have expected to see this couple on the list, but they totally deserve a spot. Jack and Judy have been married for years, and their love is still so hilarious and adorable, and they’re even spontaneous on the physical side (if you know what we mean). They’re actually perfect for each other, and we know they’ll be together until the very end. Sure, they’re cheeky and sarcastic, but that’s part of the charm of being married so long. We’re totally pro this couple, and we love to laugh with them throughout the series.

No Sense: Ross & Emily

This probably doesn’t need to be said, but we couldn’t just keep it off this list. Emily was kind of a nightmare, and we definitely don’t support any relationship that keeps these six friends apart from each other. For starters, these two never really had anything in common, and their authoritative personalities clashed from day one.

We were more than happy when Emily was removed from the picture, and we know you were all screaming in glee when Ross said Rachel’s name at their wedding. Sorry, not sorry.

Perfect: Susan & Carol

Again, probably an unsuspecting couple, but we actually support the heck out of these two. Carol and Ross have a good relationship, but Carol and Susan are definitely meant to be. They’re both sarcastic, hilarious, loving, and are definitely done with the hectic life of young relationships. We know it sucked for Ross, but we think even he would support these two with the fullest of his heart. Ben is a lucky boy, and we would definitely take relationship advice from these two ladies.

No Sense: Ross & Elizabeth

We’re sorry to put Ross on this list again, but this relationship was a total wreck from start to finish. It was kind of cute that Ross didn’t care about age, but Ross is way too adult and too mature to have dated a university student. Plus, they have very little in common, and their personalities could not have been more opposite. In fact, we almost put Rachel and Paul on this list, but we’re just going to venture to say the gang should have stayed away from this family. Seriously, Ross, not a good life choice, but we’re glad you had fun while it lasted.

Perfect: Ross & Rachel

We know this is controversial, but we still think these two deserve a spot on this list. Regardless of what you thought of this couple throughout the series, we know you were all screaming when Rachel got off the plane. These two had their ups and downs, but we think they bring out the best in each other. Their endless support for one another is honestly more than we could ever hope for in a relationship, and we know they’d give up everything for the other. These two are romantic as hell, and their love makes us melt every time we binge the series. They’re each other’s lobsters, and we won’t accept anything other than that.
